From the Samford Village roundabout, take Mount Samson Road and head 1.3km northwards towards Dayboro. Turn left just before the bend at the brow of hill by the glasshouses, after Burton Lane on the right. From the Eaton’s Crossing Road/Mount Samson Road junction, head down hill towards Samford, cross South Pine River and turn right after 1.6 km at sharp bend at brow of hill. Care is needed from both directions. UBD 106 M12.

Program
9.30am: BYO ‘morning tea’ (but tea and coffee will be provided).
10.00am: Presentation on the Samford Eco-Corridor project by Peter Storer, including site history and plans, threatened species, community engagement, citizen science projects and models for landholder revegetation. Covid related limits apply indoors - preference will be given to members.
11.00am: Presentation of the Richmond Birdwing Butterfly Vine corridor program by Richard Bull of the RBCN. The Eco-Corridor is a major hub in the northside vine corridor. Covid related limits apply indoors - preference will be given to members.
12 noon: BYO lunch (we are not sharing because of the uncertainty of COVID restrictions).
1.15 pm: Guided tour of the nearby Eco-Corridor to see how the rainforest has developed since the initial planting in 2014 and to explore the grassy eucalypt woodland, which was planted on the adjacent, drier hillside in 2018.
We expect to finish before 3.00pm.
